The Jazz Train is the biggest and most well-known tour of the Jazz genre, uniting not only many of the top artists, but a big number of bands from all over the Jazz ranking. Historically, it was the best chance to make yourself known to the Jazz community and attend some of the best shows the genre has ever produced.
The Train was originally created by the late Kirk Harris of Monkey Fish:
“The Jazz Train is an isometric inverse metaphor isolating ourselves and filling the negative space between ourselves and others around us.”
But since then various people have helped organizing it. The Jazz Train is famous for its “spirit”, which is not clearly defined, but has an anarchic element to it. The “spirit” of the Train has named to be “freedom”, “choice”, “unity” or simply “Jazz”.

Hi Jazzers, This time I'm [=Annie Walker] in charge of organizing the Jazz Train. Who voted for this? Well, basic no one but I'm doing it anyway :D
The train should start on the 1th of January but we are a bite to late for that so, to start a new trend, this is going to start at 01 March 2010 New Years Day! in Warsaw.

Jazz Train IV will start rolling in March 2008.
After the great success' of Jazz Train I , II (Message: 46362.1 ) and III (Message: 92917.1) there should come a IV and it will roll from March 14, until the end of April.
As always all Jazz acts are welcome from newbies to estacblished acts, and as always also non-jazz acts will be welcomed to feel the spirit of the real genre.
