Set off a Small Set of Fireworks to celebrate New Year's Eve and your mood will increase. You can only use a Small Set of Fireworks once per New Year's Eve. You'll also get the Celebrated New Year achievement.
I celebrated Popomundo New Year with fireworks. It made me very happy.

New Year Celebration
In order to save our servers from huge nasty updates New Year celebrations will no longer be automatic. From now on you'll have to manually set off your fireworks on New Year's Eve.
You won't be able to use more than one set of fireworks on New Year's Eve. So you'll only have to log on once to get the maximum mood boost out of this festivity.
We realise some of you get stressed out by these LIVE happenings. Please remember though that it's perfectly possible to do extremely well in the game without a maxed out mood.
P.S. There won't be a special New Year's Eve theme just yet since our illustrator is vacationing in India… lucky fellow.
