The purpose of the History Of Your Genre skill is to enable you to effectively jam your songs to a higher level of practice. While 4* will do for the 100%, it will last for really short amount of time and you really should skill up that final 5th star. It is important that you have all the genre skills for the songs in your repertoire.

Example: Having the Hip Hop skill will do nothing for your Flamenco songs, while having the Flamenco skill will do the trick
