The Black Hand Comes was the fifth single ever released by Infernal Death and the first single from their next full album, The Great War.
Danny wrote the “A” side while Dean wrote the “B” side of the single.
Both tracks were recorded at Gunsmoke! Productions in Toronto.
This single marked the return of Danny to the production booth after he took many classes and studied on how to produce the best possible records he could at the time. Danny would, from this point forward, produce most of the future tracks written by the band.
Initially, the fifth single released was slated to be The Chosen, but the band had started to play some of its new material that was slated to appear on their next album and the record company felt it best to release the newer material to promote the new record instead of older material which they felt was becoming stale.
Further information on the songs can be found on the album page for The Great War.
The cover image is that of a painting of the assissination of the Franz Ferdinand, Archduke of Austria, by the Serbian secret society called the Black Hand, that started the events leading to the beginning of World War One.
