Shock Rifle was the fourth and final single released by Infernal Death from songs collected on their first full album.
Dean wrote the “A” side while Danny wrote the “B” side of the single.
Both tracks were recorded at Gunsmoke! Productions in Toronto with Danny's future wife, Dana Isaak producing Dean's track and Robbie Donnelly helming the production of the funk metal number, Never Saw It Coming.
“We figured Robbie's head for hip hop would give Never Saw It Coming a richer fuller sound being a funk metal piece,” Danny says.
Further information on the songs can be found on the album page for Light The Fire.
The cover was the second time Infernal Death went outside for graphic design. The cover for Shock Rifle was designed over the course of two days after Danny explained the underpinnings of the track to the firm.
