FREAKY is Vanessa Adams 7th solo single. Both songs are said to have been written and produced by Vanessa Adams herself. Ex-group member, Christopher Bevan is believed to not have contributed to the single, unlike Vanessa's previous solo single JUICY. Though Bevan did end up being the director for the music video for the single. The single is also the first single for Vanessa to be released on p l a y Records™

Vanessa had confirmed early on in her blog, that the b-side to the single will be titled I'll be there. She had also said that the promotional video for FREAKY would be shot in London, England.

In the singles first week of it ended up selling a total of 92,582 copies. The sales are considerably low compared to Vanessa's previous sales with Christopher Bevan. Considering that Vanessa has been out of the music scene for a while and comming back without Bevan, the sales are not bad at all.
