Steven was first noticed rumbling randomly in the streets of Los Angeles on day 34, year 16.
Steven is a man of the world, he doesn't like to stick to one place but quickly gets bored and needs to move constantly. A free spirit, he quickly realized school wasn't his deal and gave it up. Music was more of a hobby for most of the time until he found himself on stage. He started quitting smoking at 14 and is still quitting smoking. Eventually he will. Once he gets a steady job.
Steven don't remember how he got there, he was just there. As things slowly became clear, he had lived in Los Angeles his entire life. Steven started out the way he has always continued; impatient and eager but with no willingness to think things through. He started a band called Sheriff Buford, stood yelling in the park for members then gave it up and left it 30 minutes later. The name wasn't right and neither the style so he paused and thought for 30 seconds and started his solo venture Bootleg. Bootleg was reputed for being sort of “not very talented but shouting very loudly and delibaretely trying to find ways to break the law without getting wanted” kind of act. In disguise as a solo act dubbed Bootleg, Steven smuggled booze to every country in the world.
Little is known of his early days. Steven was once quoted on his friendship with Percy Conneely, the famous classical musician. Steven claimed that Percy was in fact from Los Angeles and not London, that he is mad as a cow and the only reason he says he's from London is due to a bad acid trip where he lost his mind completely, and woke up on a slow plane to London. Steven did also quickly establish enmity with then sheriff David Smith back in his Bootleg days. Sheriff Smith attacked Marvin without reason, beating him viciously and threatening him without a lick of proof. Steven later wrote a popular underground song about the event. But the incident spurred a thought that his bootlegging days were over, he was boiling over with ideas and felt like a move was necessary.
Getting unsettled as a solo artist, Steven felt like a move was necessary. He contacted a group of freaks, or friends as he refers to them sometimes, and started planning a new band with a vision. The name eventually settled on Dödsbanjoar and saw his first lover Retta Thorne as fellow banjo player, Nashville acquaintance Nick Stoner as a dancer and Billy Beaver as lead singer.
With the forming of Dödsbanjoar it became pretty evident that Steven had found an outlet for his desire to challenge society's conception of music and reality. The members of Dödsbanjoar were often engaging in obscene activities with music that challenged the listener both musically and intellectually. Often self-destructive but rarely in line with common practice.
Steven entered a creative crisis along with the rest of the band somewhere in year 21. The singer Beaver went mad and started picking fights with random strangers only to steal their stuff. Some say Beaver got driven to insanity by Marvin's strict supreme rule over the band, and it was no surprise that Beaver left the band and went to Barcelona to rob the big names during the festival. This spectacle had a fatal outcome as Beaver was imprisoned and later died in prison. Steven was paralyzed but managed to overcome by going on a drinking binge where he found his old friend Bradbury James that was sobbing with a half full bottle of whiskey. Bradbury was frustrated over the way his own carreer was going with English Fever, they shared their misfortunes, got insanely drunk and woke up only to see a written contract on a paper napkin stating English Fever now were incorporated into Dödsbanjoar. This left Dödsbanjoar with two new very talented members, Bradbury James on dobro guitar and Berke Frost handling bass and goblet drums. This gave Steven a new edge and his songs became edgier than ever with more solid musical compositions. Banjo death metal entered a new era with these talents and inspired Stoner to take tuba lessons.
A new edge and angle brought wealth and success. Steven had always been a rebel spirit and felt no need to hold on to his money. So in spurs of wasting money, he bought some locales to rid himself of the weight money gave on his artistic vision. By setting up a couple of locales that would run with a loss and help out smaller acts, Steven felt he could easier focus on what was important: Music. In addition to his own company, Steven has with success runned two record studios for one of his first crushes Thea Aspentorp which he admired so much, he felt like helping her a long time. But Dödsbanjoar needed their independence and co-founded together the small, independent, LA based studio Wall of Death Studios where they are currently working with a small group of creatively unique artists.
Steven was notoriously engaging in whatever relationship any kind of person would want with him for years. Having started out in the business early, Steven had to grow up fast and became sexually confused. The confusion was displayed through his ability to never say no to anyone and sleeping with everybody willing. Having awoken from the trauma that such reckless behaviour enduces, which is rumoured to be well after Steven noticed he was paying hundreds of dollars every week for his four children, Steven actively tried to sooth one woman. For once in his life Steven acted kindly and sweet, displaying public signs of affection and openly acclaimed one woman as the most beautiful and dearest creature on earth. Of course Steven openly admits that it was the beautiful nature of this woman that lead to such behaviour and he was in no way responsible for such kindness. This woman was Eva Lundhskär and is widely considered to be the one person that can tame Steven. Steven has remained dedicated to her ever since.
