Paulus De Beer

The original biography of Paulus (Paula) de Beer is a little sketchy:

Paula appeared in the Popomundo universe 8/13/2005 . She is a permanent resident of Amsterdam. Paula decided to go for a career in modeling instead of going to school. She likes going to clubs and having a good time. She hates politics. Paula fondly remembers the days when she had a little puppy dog.

Paula's expanded bio is bit more informative:

Paula began playing the piano when she was a child, but never considered it as a serious career move until a photographer heard her playing backstange at a shoot, and suggested she record her music. Researching her options in an internet music forum brought her to the attention of singer Loretta Schneider and guitarist Leslie Brodie and the three decided to form a new band based out of London - thus Lovely Monkey was born. Hunky bass player Grant Rapid joined soon after to form the pop supergroup that rocketed up the charts to reach #7 before the members of the band decided to dissolve the group while they were on top of the pop world.

Paula has always been keenly interested in high finance, and began her corporate career as the CEO of Wrong Trousers Studio in London. Personal differences between Paula and the owner's fiancee led to her departure from the studio, and Lovely Monkey's signing with UMRK Studios.

Paula's success as a pop princess with Lovely Monkey provided her with the capital to open the De Beer corporation, starting with one heavy metal club in Amsterdam. What started with that one club grew to worldwide chains of both metal and classical clubs of the highest quality. The Damned and the De Beer Arts Centers are respected for their attention to the needs of the artists and quick responses to requests. After some years of success with The Damned, Paula sold the entire chain for a healthy profit in order to focus solely on investing in the development of the Classical genre worldwide.

Paula's latest endeavors include opening the first restaurant in London, appropriately named De Beer Garden. She has also begun dabbling in politics, and was active in the first mayoral campaigns for the city of Amsterdam, earning enough votes for third place in the first round of nominations.

Paula's personal life has always been something of a soap opera - being around Miss De Beer is never dull. Labeled “Bitch Monkey” by her half-joking band mates, Paula never quite manages to distance her business persona from her stage presence or even her personal life. Paula is very thankful for friends who keep her in check…

Paula can often be found wandering around her adopted hometown of London, usually in the company of her cocker spaniel Sprinkle. Her private life isn't much of a secret to her fans, but she does value her private time with the lovely Vicki Baker, her lover (and personal photographer) for the past couple years. No one is quite sure what drew these two together, but there is no doubt that these two opposites attracted strongly…

Paula's latest project is the most important of her life - on Day 4, Year 23, Paula gave birth to a daughter, Océane de Beer. All the success Paula has enjoyed in her career pales in comparison to the joy and happiness that she now shares with her new family.

• Original owner of the legendary metal club chain The Damned. At one point, eight of The Damned were all ranked within the top twenty-five metal clubs worldwide, four of them in the top ten.

• Organizer of Rock Hard AMD Festival which hosted over eighty bands in four different clubs, generating over 2.5 million dollars in ticket sales in one week.

• Owner of De Beer Garden, the first restaurant in London, the site of Travis Kauser's tragic suicide, and the birthplace of Paula's daughter, Océane. (Suprisingly, the restaurant hasn't yet been cited for health violations)
