Louis Radywonik is the self-proclaimed King of the Dominion of Loutopia, and according to many credible psychoanalysts, certifiably insane.
Louis somehow managed to be born three years before time began, on day seven. His mother, Laverne Radywonik, never revealed the identity of Louis's father, but some say he bears an uncanny resemblance to Chuck Norris. Laverne was killed in a tragic pie-eating contest accident when Louis was only two, so he was raised by Lumberjacks, who were willing to adopt him because his unusual level of body hair for an infant led them to believe he'd fit in with their crowd. Many hypothesise that this unusual upbringing may have been the source of Louis's madness.
The Lumberjacks noticed Louis had a natural sense of rhythm from the way he moved while sawing down trees, which was almost hypnotic. The always observative Chief Lumberjack (who was a chief in name only, and actually a very low-ranking member of the Lumberjack commune) thought Louis might take to music, and gave him an old harmonica, which Louis mastered over his time in the woods, and still owns today. At the age of twenty-three, by now a credible blues musician, starry-eyed Louis left the wilderness behind to seek fame in Popomundo.
Louis began playing in London's blues clubs under the banner of his solo project, Radyo. Radyo quickly started attracting an audience, and earned fifteen minutes of fame when “Burning Down the Spouse” became a minor hit, sustaining regular top-forty play for several weeks. Some theorists speculate that this fame, and not his Lumberjack upbringing, is what drove Louis mad. Louis used the money generated by his hit single to open a shop in London, which has since become the world's largest manufacturer of lampshades. Louis moved into the flat above the shop, and began to scheme.
With his business booming, Louis was able to finance not only his music career, but also his severe chemical dependence on teriyaki sauce. More theorists yet identify this as the cause of Louis's madness. Even though “Burning Down the Spouse” hadn't seen radio play in years, Louis has managed to stay in the headlines with his outlandish behaviour. Most notably, Louis publicly advertised his desire to rent a woman's uterus so that he might impregnate it, then use the resulting child in a series of scientific experiments. Even though he offered $20,000 USD plus reimbursement of any costs the woman might incur along the way, no woman has taken him up on the offer yet.
On day fifty of year twenty-three, Louis, frustrated with the English government, declared his flat and shop to be a sovereign nation, which he named after himself. He immediately appointed himself the monarch of The Dominion of Loutopia, and to this day, he is its only citizen. He incorporated his company, Interslice, in the name of the crown, and it has since become the Louish Ministry of Commerce. The lampshade industry has since been opened up to the private sector, and Just Lampshades has been liquidated. The Ministry of Commerce has since begun focussing on more music-based ways to exploit the vast artistic community of Popomundo for its own financial gains.
Louis still makes music, though he ended Radyo to form a new band, The Blues Project, with guitarist and singer Ethel Davis, whom he met touring on the blues scene. The duo has recently released its first public offering, The Blues Single, which was well-received by critics and fans alike.
