Jeff Kaul-Seidman

His parents got divorced at an early age. Jeff never went to school but received daily teachings by his mother. He is a fanatic sportsfan. He can't stand horror movies. Jeff got caught shop lifting candy in his early teens.

Being born into a family that was struggling with their financial situation was not easy for him. During his child hood he can remember moments in which he heard his parents fighting over money. His dad was a worker at the local construction yard and his mother was a cleaner at a local store, their jobs was hard work and payed very little. Each of his parents had to work late just to make ends meet and it was just a matter of time before things took a turn for the worse.

It happened when he was 5, he can clearly remember that awful day when he woke up to his mother's crying. She was sitting at their family table with her hands over her head. When he asked “Why are you crying?” his mother responded by saying “Nothing”. Being 5 at the time he took his mothers word. Later that day, around lunchtime he asked where his father was and his mother said a thing that he would never forget. She told him that his father decided to move on and was not coming back. She also told him that things will be fine and that he should not worry. Little did he know that this would be the start of his hardships.

Seeing how the financial situation of the family was already bad, the loss of the fathers income turned out to be a challenge for his family. Since his father left them, they had to move out of their home and into a one room apartment, in a rough part of town. His mother had to quit her old job and find a new one that was closer to their new home, she got a job as a clerk in a nearby bar, it didnt pay much, but it was enough. Since his mother had to work all day and they couldn't afford daycare, Jeff was left alone on most days. With this free time that he entertained himself by watching TV. They only had a couple of channels, and Jeff would spend most of his time watching sports in hopes that one day he would be as successful as the athletes he saw.

He didnt attend school because his mom was too busy with work to send him off to school. This however, did not hinder his education. Right after his mom got off work she would go to the library and borrow books to teach with. It was a challenging time for his mother, she had to balance work and her well being of her only child. This continued for many years, many years.

When he got older and was tired of watching TV, he would go outside and play around with other kids. Being in a tough neighborhood, the kids that he hung around was not the best of influences on him. One day, when he was around 14, he got dared by one of his friends to go inside a local store and take a candy bar. Being prideful, Jeff could not deny them. Jeff thought it was a simple task, go in, grab candy, and leave, little did he know that the store that they picked had just installed a fancy new security system. His task of taking a candy bar failed and he was caught for shoplifting. The store owner sat him down in the back room and told him “You do not need to live a life of crime, you can live a life of luxury if you only apply yourself and never let anyone tell you that you cant do something.” After that, he was let go.

That incident changed him, it made him more aware of his community and he wanted to help, and he would volunteer at local shelters so that he could make a difference. He did this every chance he could until one day he was old enough to get a job so that he could help his mom with bills and hopefully move out of the community that they lived in.

He got a job at a local Punk rock bar as a cleaner. His job was simple, clean up after shows and prepare for the next one. This bar had an employee break room situated upstairs where the employees could watch live shows and during one of the acts. Being around Punk music all the time, he grew to love it and also grew to love a local punk band that started in his part of town. During one of his shifts at work, he noticed on the show list that his favorite band was coming to play their show. He was ecstatic that he could finally hear the music that made them famous. The show was awesome, it was one of the bests shows that he had ever seen in his short life. After the show, he went about his duties of cleaning after the band when he saw his favorite band leaving for their tour bus. He had to get an autograph, when he approached them, his boss stepped in front of him and told him that it was unprofessional to approach bands to get their autographs. Disappointed, he went about cleaning. One day after work his boss approached him to give him an envelope. Overwhelmed with curiosity he opened the envelope and to his surprise he saw an autographed picture followed by a note, the note read:

“I saw that your boss didnt allow you to come meet us so heres an autographed band picture”

Jeff was inspired by this and because of this he decided to start his very own Punk rock band, Uber Silence.

*Jeff did start Killing Rainbows earlier and then joined another band for a really short period of time and then restarted Killing Rainbows.

Jeff is Self-Employed

His explanation: “I was helping with the revolution in Brussels and was wanted for smuggling condoms. An arresting officer used that wanted status to arrest me for Inciting to Riot.”

As a note, he was not the only one that was wrongly arrested, there have been others.
