Jean Bongers

Jean Bongers is a veteran artist, former Hip-Hop Megastar (#3 in the Artist Ranking), Since 24/06/2006 active in Modern Rock.

Jean appeared in the Popomundo universe 20/05/2005.

His father died when he was very young. Jean dropped out of school before turning 16. He is a fanatic sportsfan. He hates insects. Jean dreams of making it big in the world of entertainment.

Jean's first job was as a sales person at UMRK ~AMD~, back then a brandnew record company run by Will Acosta from Acosta Entertainment. When the PR Manager function was implemented, Jean was the first person to get this function at the locale. After buying VIP, Jean became a CEO for UMRK - Ghetto Dreams, the Hip Hop branch of the UMRK record label chain by Acosta Entertainment. Sometime late june 2006 Jean decided to go for his own chances and left Acosta Entertainment for the first time, in order to CEO one of his own locales, Kobenhavn Mall. This is a generic shop in Copenhagen.

Besides this Jean is also the president of Bongers Investment Group.

Jean started as a 16 yrs old streetbrat growing up in the ghetto's of Amsterdam. Beacause of this he was very much influenced by Hip Hop. Together with his homeboy Marcel Drees he started E.O.M.; The Extra Ordinary Mobsquad. This went quite well and it wasn't for long that they were right behind the top 3 artists, at that time Utopia, Straight outta Dubvee and Winter. To bridge the gap, they invited Chris Parry from the Christer PetterssonZ. The gap was never bridged, mostly due to inactivity. At the end of june 2006 Jean decided to call it a day and left E.O.M. for what it was. Together with his wife Marvella Norton he started a Modern Rock adventure, called Tolstoj. As we speak they are storming the artist rankings

In february 2006 Jean decided to use the money he earned with E.O.M. to invest in a company: Bongers Investment Group was born. After some trials with clubs and jam places, Jean decided to make a global chain of 2nd hand stores. When Jean's puppet master was forced to be inactive for 6 weeks the whole chain was sold again, with loss of course. By the end of june, at the same time Jean quit E.O.M. and working for Acosta Entertainment, to lead one of his own locales. Bongers Investment Group is currently making a humble profit from a Hip Hop club and a generic shop, both located in Copenhagen.
