Eva Lundhskär

Eva Lundhskär at 47 Eva Lundhskär is singer and bass player of Bridges of the World.

Personal History

Eva appeared in the Popomundo universe 2004-07-17 (11/04) and her birthday is on Day 31.

Eva grew up alone with her mother, after her father died, when she was still very young. Clinging to her daughter, her mother decided to homeschool Eva and she only got out of the house for physical education, that's why Eva's still enjoying sports a lot. In her early teens she got caught shop lifting candy, since she wanted to annoy her mother and craved sugar. She hates loud and obnoxious people.

Getting into the Showbusiness

Living with her mother for all her live, she stayed there, even after graduating from homeschooling high school.
At age 21 Eva awoke from a dream with “We are dada and you're not!” on her lips, taking this as a sign for having to make a living in music and formed artistic french fries.
Being a natural born slacker Eva lived off wellfare until her mother, who wasn't very happy about her career decision but still supportive, urged her to get a job, which she found after a long search at Dragon Empire Records on 11/38, where she cleaned up quite carelessly, but first set eyes on her later first love Oliver Drakkvist, her then boss.

Little is known about her first gig with the artistic french fries, as all records about it are lost, but it's said, that she entertained the crowd in Stockholm weekly with growing audience.

Career Lift Off and First Love

On 12/53 Eva set foot on foreign turf for the first time, when she was invited to play and record her first single in London, as she had signed to HopperSoft Studios London (now Voldemort’s Records HOP).
Year 13 saw her first world tour, where she travelled to New York, Los Angeles, London and Melbourne. This caused her first row with her mother, who always thought, that this life had a bad influence on her and that she'd drop the dream of becoming a rock star eventually, but with the release of the single “On Fire”, Eva saw her way of life confirmed.

Touring the world she found herself lonely, but this changed, when she started to see Oliver Drakkvist in Year 14. They lead a low profile relationship for several years.

Going Business and more Love

Eva went business, when she grew tired of HopperSoft Studios London and established Coma Incorporated, so that she could set up Studio Coma and release her songs herself on 16/37.

The relationship with Oliver eventually turned into an open one and faded out, with no clean cut. This is what Eva calls her Groupie Days, where she graciously opened her legs for almost everyone, who bothered to ask. While enjoying this life to the full, her mother didn't agree with her new liberality at all, causeing rows, whenever Eva was at home in between tours.
Things gradually changed, when Eva met the notorious banjo player Steven Marvin in persona for the first time on 20/11. They stayed in contact and during the London Riots (21/54), Eva realized, that all quickies in Popomundo are nothing compared to the bond between her and Steven, parted with her promiscuous life and she and Steven are an item ever since.
They got not-married on 24/17 in a haze after a turbulent gig, not much is known about the ceremony, but it's said, that it involved exchanging a bottle of mineral water and a tortilla.

A new Life

In the autumn of Year 23 Eva suffered from creative drainage after 12 years with artistic french fries. Realizing, that only a new start could bring new inspiration she left the band. On the next day she joined Tortilla Bonita, a Flamenco crossover band with the goal to burst genres and spread greasy tortillas all over the world. The inspiration of being united with Steven Marvin, the love of her life, and his archenemy Vicki Baker and the tensions that come with it put her songwriting onto new dimensions.

Moving on

After 7 years with Tortilla Bonita with many adventures and lots of fun, it was time for a change for the sake of artistic development for all band members, so they parted ways on 31.39.
Eva now tries her luck with Bridges of the World, a 70s soul solo act, that got a regular concert evening every friday at Drink and Forget in Stockholm.
