Ernest Mack
Ernest Mack is the Oz drummer currently soloing in his outfit Boon.
Personal History
Ernest appeared in the Popomundo universe 31/01/2005 at 13:48 in Melbourne.
On 02/02/2005 he joined new punk outfit Kong as their drummer, but apart from the considerable distance between them, with the rest of the band being in London, he quickly grew tired of them and left after 3 days. After sharing a hotdog with his old mate Devin Frame, he was introduced to Stephan Adamson and Edison Bouic, and ended up joining them in the new radical punk outfit Abu JahJah & The Burqa's.
His songwriting abilities flourished within the band, and he soon became one of the major contributors the the bands politically sensitive material, although never quite seen as one of the major antagonists. After conquering the undergound scene of Melbourne, the band quickly grew in stature and soon he found himself caught into the web of fame and fortune.
This led to his flirtation with alcoholism, and highlighted his inability to manage his wealth. Many myths circulated relating to his all night drinking escapades through various cities whilst on heavily scheduled tours. To this date he doesn't confirm or deny the stories, but certainly witnesses have attested to him cleaning out many clubs of their alcohol stocks and giving it out to anyone he could find before eventually passing out in a hotel room or a club.
During this heyday period he also married Rosemary Baker, beginning a somewhat passionate rollercoaster marriage which is never short of a few sparks, often due to his occasional indiscretions. Together they have 2 children, Portia Mack and Gianni Baker and another on the way.
On 30/01/06, Abu JahJah & The Burqa's disbanded and he began a short lived solo outfit called Temporary State of Confusion. This was soon followed by him teaming with his wife Rosemary Baker and Eva Lane in a modern rock outfit Horizontal Dance. On 10/07/06 he again found himself lost and left Horizontal Dance and started a new solo career under the name Boon.
Apart from his drinking habits, indecisiveness and continual promotion of Australia, ernest has also been known to be very poor with money. Among some famous exploits include once paying 500k to someone to open a factory, which is beleived to have never opened, buying all stock within a shop in spain, then simply dumping it in an apartment. And of course his gambling bug, where he once challenged a friend as to who would donate the most to one artist. Needless to say, the donations exceeded $100k each, and he won the bet by $1.
