Edison appeared in the Popomundo universe 16/01/2005. He is a citizen of Melbourne.
Edison Bouic, being a punk-minded electric guitarist, founded Abu JahJah & The Burqa's on 17/01/2005. Soon after founding The Burqas singer Stephan Adamson, bass-guitarist Devin Frame and drummer Ernest Mack joined the band. The Burqa's were a Melbourne based punk band, who quickly became notorious for their instigating lyrics. They were often accused of promoting terrorism. Edison always fiercely rejected these accusations.
Edison Bouic was famous for playing his electric guitar with a brick. He was once elected best guitarist.
After The Burqa's disbanded, Edison moved to Amsterdam to join an avantgardist electronica project Caroline Regenbogen & Milchkuh, founded by his friend Claus Aalberts. Many old Burqa fans were surprised by this move from punk to experimentalist electronica. During his time in The Burqa's Edison had became a more allround musician, training vocals and other string instruments and so he became lead vocalist and violinist in Caroline Regenbogen.
Half a year later Edison left Caroline Regenbogen & Milchkuh, due to dissatisfaction by the lack of improvement. Edison started his own experimentalist darkambient project called Care & Destruction, doing lead vocals and playing keyboard. Care & Destruction was fairly succesfull, rising rapidly toward the top 50 of the electronica charts after the release of the first single, also called Care and Destruction.
Edison bouic has a son, Boyd Bouic, together with mother Ida Albarella, and a daughter Mira Marshall, together with mother Cindy Marshall. Edison had a troubled relationship with Cindy Marshall which ended when she committed suicide.
