Christopher Bevan planned on going to New York to study film at N.Y.U., but was never accepted. Instead, he met a girl named Vanessa Adams and decided to join a rag-tag Punk Rock act with her known as the Deadly Roses. Shortly after the two recruited a woman, and for a while it seemed the act was going to
be successful. Unfortunately the group was shortly lived as Christopher was forced to leave due to drug and alcohol abuse. To date it is currently unknown when he developed his addiction(s), and what drug(s) he was addicted too.
Getting kicked out of Deadly Roses was a revelation of sorts for Christopher, he finally admitted to his problems and got help. In a surprisingly short amount of time, Christopher cleaned himself up and started a Heavy Metal act known as Violent Eroticism. While a member of Violent Eroticism, he had decent success, and even released two singles The Wickedness You Did and Deathwish. Afterwards Vanessa Adams heard of Christopher's success and began communicating with each other again. The two had a child together named Katsumi Adams, and even planned on getting married; however, shortly after Vanessa gave birth Christopher abandoned her and Katsumi for drugs and alcohol.
Christopher Bevan continued his addiction(s) for nearly a year before his ex-band member, Vanessa Adams approached him with an offer. Christopher was welcomed to join CUTIE!, only if he cleaned him self up. This was a big surprise to fans, but many were intirged with the idea. Christopher and Vanessa's first single together, Bad Boy, ended up outselling all of Vanessa's previous singles. then released their first album as a group. Their album, BLACK CHERRY, was a huge success and had shown how much more popularity they had gained since the release of Vanessa's debut solo album. BLACK CHERRY sold over three times the amount that Strawberry//Love+Shake ended up selling. Shortly after the albums release they released their second single together as a group. Go! MY HEAVEN was the highest selling single that the group had released up to that point.
As the group began to work on their newest album, they decided to change the groups name. Taking inspiration from their debut album together as a group, they called themselves BLACK~CHERRY. After this sudden name change they released _1WISH / 1LOVE_ their third single together as a group. The single was a double a-side single. The single ended up becoming their highest selling single at this point in their career. The single was their first single to actually chart in the weekly top 40, grabbing the 36th spot. After the success of this single they continued and released the singles 人魚姫 and SOS ~ Sound Of Sex.
Both singles did not reach the success as their previous single, the sales were disappointing, and people viewed this as the group's popularity falling. Though the Vanessa and Christopher continued on and released their second studio album Get Down!!. The album out-sold their first album as a group by almost double, this was quite surprising since the public believed that the group was beginning to lose popularity. The album was their first album to chart in the weekly top 40, charting at #28. Soon after the release of the album they released the smash single BUT!! / 愛証. The single became their highest selling single, selling over half a million copies and is still currently their highest selling single. Sadly though, this single was the last single that Vanessa Adams and Christopher Bevan released together. Soon after the release of the single Christopher left the group for unknown reasons.
After Christopher left the group, he was unactive as an artist for almost an year; however, drugs and alcohol were not the issue. Due to Vanessa's discontent with Queen Bitch Records™ she wanted to create her own record label and become a indepentant artist; however, she was too busy to manage the label alone, this was where Christopher was needed. Christopher and Vanessa created a record label together named p l a y Records™. Afterwards Christopher created a modern rock act known as Christopher Bevan, where he acts as the lead singer and electric guitarist.
