Istanbul was added in year 25, day 30.

As of Feb 24, 2007 Istanbul is the largest city in Popomundo with a popoulation of more than 10888, more than twice the population of LA.

Turkish Translation and Istanbul We're happy to add one of history's major cultural and ethnic melting pots to Popomundo: Istanbul.

Istanbul comes to us as a direct result of the great job of our Turkish translators: Bertha Janssen, Günter Horres, Martijn Van Paridon, Michael Visser & Remco van Veen.

A lot of people might object to yet another city in this region of the world… keep in mind that the addition of new cities is directly related to the translations created by the players themselves. If a group of players translate Popomundo into a new language we immediately add another city that goes with that language. That's the deal. It doesn't matter where the city is located on the globe. It's the least we can do in return for the translators incredible efforts.

Without all of our translators Popomundo wouldn't be half the game it is today. Perhaps in a few years time Popomundo will become the internet equivalent of such a historic melting pot such as Istanbul. Who knows? No point in setting our goals any lower though. Either way, the translators play one of the most important roles in such an endeavor.
