Belgrade appeared on the map in 29/9.
The city of Belgrade is quite notorious for its unstable governments.
The biggest occurance was, when Johnny Dogana forced a revolution by making daily items illegal in mid year 36. Taking advantage of the new requirements for office and the small citizenship base, it was possible, that criminals, who organised themselves in the (not) criminal tribe Armadietto della Società di Famiglia, took over the city under Mayoress Brígida Freijedo, who also appointed herself as treasurer.
This caused major chaos in the city, because criminals saw Belgrade as a hide-out and also warrants were lifted by the Chief of Police. After new Chief Justice Johnny Dogana was arrested for debt, a revolution broke out again. Brígida was able to reappoint herself as treasurer in the last moments of her time as Mayoress. But she did nothing to improve the city infrastructure, despite it being under constant attack of arsonists. After the revolution, many people applied for citizenship in Belgrade, in order to support a non-criminal mayor.
After second round of mayor elections, Goran Trbović was mayor. But not for long, because Brígida closed all travel routes and the airport and therefore forced another revolution.
This lead to another 3 weeks of chaos and anarchy, with the power plant, water reservoir, prisons, almost all travel routes , etc. being burnt down and therefore forced to close. Also arsonists took even more advantage of the situation and tried to blackmail locale owners.
On 37/43 Goran Trbović once again was elected mayor and the rebuilding of Belgrade started.

Developer News 2007-04-26 The Serbian translation and Belgrad
Welcome Belgrad - capital of Serbia. Due to its geographical position the city has been called the gate to Balkan as well as the door to Europe. Although more informal sources might refer to it as the home of turbofolk music.
Big up to Dražen Katić, Valentin Glavati, Taras Kolosov and Kevin Attwood who through their work with the Serbian translation have placed Belgrad on the Popomundo map.
