To make a Jack-o'-lantern you need a pumpkin (which is a plant that is found in nature by botanists). On the day of Halloween (but only on that day!), you can use the pumpkin, which creates a Jack-o'-lantern. No skill or tool is needed to cut it.
Note: The Jack-o'-lantern thus created only has a 36 hour lifespan, so it will only be good for one Halloween. Next year you will need a new one.
It can only be used on Halloween day. Every person can only use a Jack-o'-lantern once each Halloween. Just click the USE button when the day is in.
It is fun! It is traditional! :) But also, you gain a little mood boost (nothing spectacular, but still). However, families may want to celebrate this with their kids - children 11 years and younger will (in addition to the mood boost) gain one experience point from using the Jack-o'-lantern.
Ask a friend. Jack-o'-lanterns are not consumed by being used, and can only be used once and can be given away freely, so there should be plenty of these passed around when Halloween comes, I hope. And when you have used it - pass it on to your friends and family! Also, you may be able to find a pumpkin (but not Jack-o'-lanterns!) in a grocery store (if a botanist has supplied the store with it).
