History

Uber Silence is a hard working Punk Rock act that has been in pursuit of stardom since 2006-02-11. This is just part of our story.

It all started when Jeff was 18, while growing up in London he was exposed to many different types of music and that inspired him to start his own band, Uber Silence. He thought about going solo but then decided against it because it is lonely on the road. So with this he set out to find new members to join his band. (Note: They had several very short serving band members not included in this story)

After many months of intense searching, he found himself some band members, Ian Lake and Jeanette Irving. With this new cast they set off to play their first show at Fury Punk, in London. However, internal band conflict ravaged through the band shortly after their first show, which lead to Jeanette Irving quitting the band. Now with 2 members left, they set off for a tour around the world.

During one of their concerts in London, Michael Davidson approached the band to discuss a possible position in the band. However, Uber Silence was not ready to add another band member but, Michael Davidson was very relentless in pursuing his dream to join Uber Silence, and eventually the band gave him an opportunity to prove himself. And prove himself he did and Uber Silence had another member. It was a good time for Uber Silence because they just signed a record deal with Bruinsma Records - ENG (Note: They were signed with another record label but that record label got sold to Bruinsma Records - ENG). Even though it was a good time for the band, the members had personal issues that threatened the stability of the band.

It all started partway through their tour. Jeff was starting to spiral toward depression and was showing up late for their shows, eventually full blown depression hit and Jeff was hospitalized and the band took time off so that Jeff could recover from his bout with depression. Within a few days he was cleared by the doctors and he was ready to play shows again. With this good news, the band started to tour again and tour they did. The amount of shows that they played and the after parties they went to took a toll on the band members health. Eventually Michael Davidson ended up in the hospital because of his low health. Shortly after he was released, the band noticed that he was a different person. He became less active and did the band saw less and less of him. It came to a point to where he would just show up to their gig, play the show, and leave. Soon enough right before one of their gigs, the band received a phone call from one of the doctors saying that Michael Davidson was admitted with chronic depression. The band took a break from playing gigs to spend time with their band member, it was decided that it was best if Michael Davidson left the band. With the permission of the doctors, Michael Davidson was released to play one final concert with the band and with that the band was left with two members again.

Eventually the band went back to touring the world and was actively looking for another band member. During one of the days off, Ian Lake spotted a local talent in London playing at a small local pub. He was talented, inspired, and hard working and a perfect fit for the band, his name was Richard Eastings. With this new band member they finally released their first full length album. Following the full length release was the release of two singles. The band was finally taking off and was slowly climbing up the charts. With this unexpected success, Richard Eastings decided to go solo.

With Richard Eastings quitting the band to pursue his solo career, the band went looking for another band member again. The band was looking into a new sound, a different sound from the rest. This is where their paths crossed with Karoline Lindenblatt. What she brought to the band was something different from the other punk bands, she brought with her the knowledge of turntable skills. That was the different sound that the band was looking for.

With this new band member Uber Silence is looking forward to the future because they believed they could climb to the top of the punk rankings.

Note Worthy This band played their last show on April 30th 2008.
