Trevor Dee's Arctic Circus (also known by the abbreviations Trevor Dee or TDAC) is experimental/alternative band from Helsinki, Finland.
Trevor Dee's Arctic Circus was formed in may of 2006 by Teijo Möttölä, just after he left he's previous band Arctic Love.
20 years old Möttölä thought that finnish rock music scene was boring and full of trendy bands, which all were just each others copies. Möttölä started to write he's own material, which was mostly influenced by alternative and indie-rock. He played couple times at local bars and pubs with backup tape before he met he's future bandmate and best friend Maimu Vilhunen. Maimu was a 19 years old punk rock girl from Helsinki who found modern rock from he's new friend Teijo.
Soon after this one drunken night at the local bar Maimu found herself from Teijo's musical project Trevor Dee's Arctic Circus as a drummer, without any experience of playing drums or any other musical instrument. They started practising and somehow managed to book few gigs in Helsinki, Stockholm and Moscow.
The band spent all their money on plane tickets and played couple of shows in finnish, swedish and russian rock clubs. During this they recorded a live demo tape which was sent to Afanasy Volkov, CEO of anarcho-socialistic record company LP Rekordz USSR. Volkov clearly saw Trevor Dee's potential and offered a 12 popoyears long contract with an unlimited artistic freedom.
