History
In the beginning of the year 39, Octavia Ewing had just arrived in New York City. She had a dream of becoming a rockstar, and she was on her way to a player trade when she saw a young woman running around naked. That woman was Haley Rayment. Without any hesitation, Octavia asked from Haley if she could put up a band with her. Haley agreed, and she became the lead vocalist in SmoothieSkank. Octavia played the guitar. The band got the name SmoothieSkank, and they played their first show a month after putting the band up. Their first songs were called Right for Night and Worst Reputatiton, which were both written by Octavia. After having few shows mostly in New York and Nashville, Haley and Octavia thought that their punk band needed more members. They put up an audition, and got two new members, a drummer Chloe Eliot and a bass player Sarah Fletcher. Especially Chloe was a very talented songmaker, and SmoothieSkank's popularity grew fast.
SmoothieSkank published their first single Calling to New York on day 14, year 42. It was rated good, but it only sold a bit more than a thousand copies. In the beginning of the year 44, they released a full length album, called Little Molly. It was rated splendid, but again the sales were low. After the release of Little Molly, SmoothieSkank started touring around Europe, and after the tour Chloe and Sarah decided to leave the band.
After Chloe and Sarah left the band, Octavia and Haley were forced to rethink everything. They were on a break for two years. After the break SmoothieSkank made a big comeback that included a new single; Feeling Lucky, a long tour including America and Europe, and a lot of media presence. Their record sales were higher than ever, and the tour brought them many new fans. Media wrote, that SmoothieSkank was stronger than ever. Fans had to wait until their next full length album was released three years later. Their album got the name Punkshake, it was rated awesome, but again the record sales were lower than expected.
After releasing Punkshake, and having a tour in Europe, Haley and Octavia told to the media, and their fans, that they were going to have a break. Reason was, that they both had small children and touring had become more complicated. The break was supposed to be a small one, but it kept going for six years. During those six years Octavia and Haley improved their skills, wrote a punch of new songs and focused on their familylife. After six long years, SmoothieSkank made another comeback, which again included a new single; Sexy 'n' Lazy and a long tour. This time the record sales were higher than expected, around 40 000 copied were sold overall. The full length album; Let's sell our boyfriends, was released soon after. Let's sell our boyfriends sold almost 100 000 copies, and after the releasing day, SmoothieSkank started their first world tour. During their tour they relesed their next single, Hookers need a lunch break, which was rated incredible.
After various troubles with different recording companies SmoothieSkank now has a contract with Sweet Silence Studios. After their comeback in year 55 SmoothieSkank has gradually continued to raise in the ranking, and gained more fans around the world.
