'New York Guns' is a Rock act from New York.

Early Career (Year 37 - 42)

New York Guns started off as a band named Lucky Quatrefoil. At the time of creation, Hamilton Stanley (vocals) lived in New York, and Archie Buser (guitar) lived in Los Angeles. After the addition of a bass guitarist who lived in New York, Danny Buglass, Archie moved to New York and the band officially planted it's roots in New York.

The band recruited drummer Matthew Baldry, and started on a small string of local shows. Matthew Baldry shortly moved to Toronto, distancing himself from the band. He was replaced by drummer Neil Begum, who was a more than adequate replacement. After Neil joined the band, Lucky Quatrefoil continued to play local shows, and started to enter the recording studio to begin the process of recording it's first CD. During the recording, Neil left the band. This was a devastating blow, however Lucky Quatrefoil was able to find Robert Banfield as a drummer in time for it's North American tour. In addition, shortly before the tour, Hamilton was fired from the band due to lack of interest in the game.

After Hamilton left the band was renamed to New York Guns, and Danny replaced Hamilton on lead vocals. New York Guns debut album, Red Light District is a 10 track CD. 2 different vocalists, and 3 different drummers performed in the various tracks. Chad Myers is featured on the tracks “Hanging onto Nothing” and “Our Chance”. He offered his help when drummer Neil Begum left the band. 450x250px|right|thumb|New York Guns Performing

Red Light District was released on 8/18/2008. The first single for the album, ”Scene Girl”, was released on 9/12/2008.

During a break from their busy touring schedule, New York Guns signed on 2 new band members; Andrew Watkins and Antti Mustalahti. Danny Buglass commented on the matter, “We were looking to improve our live shows, make it easier for me to sing without having to worry about bass at the same time, and also we thought these guys were really rad”. Archie also put a comment on his new guitar partner Antti, “Yeah, I was just talking to this guy the other day, he had this cool image and style, you know what I mean…he was playing in this other band, you know, but we kinda stole him. We are so total assholes. They did the same to us with that fucker Neil…I mean, that's the way it goes in this world”

When the owner of their former record company died (Colossal Studios) the release of the soon expected “Gunshot” single was delayed. However, the Guns were able to find a new record contract in time to continue with the release of the long expected single on time.

A Gunshot into the Night was released on 11/10/2008. Revolvers of Liberty was released on 12/16/2008. The first single for the album, Broadway Rock N' Roll, was released on 1/6/09.

New York Guns participated in the first Rock Isn't Dead World Tour. In general it was considered a success, propelling them over 500 ranks. The first unreleased songs from the upcoming album were played in the shows towards the end of the tour, most notably “In the Name of Devil.”

Before going into the studio to begin writing and recording of their next album, New York Guns broke their contract with Majesty Records and signed with Volatility Records. They stated the reason for this move was because Leon abandoned the label, and wanted them to move to his new private company located in Rio. Instead they signed with a New York based studio. Leon Braunholtz, Majesty's CEO, died shortly after.

''Tennessee Bitch'' (Year 42 - 44)

New York Guns went into the studio immediately after finishing the first Rock Isn't Dead Tour to begin writing and recording material for a new album.

In the Name of Devil,” New York Guns first music video and the first piece of material released for the new album was first publicly aired on 3/21/09. Tennessee Bitch, their new album, was released and sold over 26,000 copies in the first week.

New York Guns performed in the 2nd Rock Isn't Dead tour. After the tour, they announced they will be taking an extended break from touring. “We've been living on the road for years, with limited breaks in-between. We all desperately need a long rest, hopefully one that will make us bored of sitting around and want to tour for another 5 years.”

After using the break to write a new album, they did a world tour in support of the new material and set out to finish recording and release the album within the next month. After releasing several singles in support of their upcoming album, Andrew Watkins and the band parted ways. There was no disdain on either side, Andrew just wanted to pursue something different.

''An Offer We Can't Refuse'' (Year 44 - Year 49)

300x225px|left|thumb| New York Guns released An Offer We Can't Refuse on 9/29/2009. It was their highest rated album to date, critics praising it as the most coordinated effort since Revolvers of Liberty with improved song writing.

New York Guns splits, death of Antti

After a world tour in support of the album, the band split calling a hiatus and pursuing their own personal musical directions. Archie Buser remained committed to the band, and along with rejoined bass guitarist Andrew Watkins, drummer Robert Banfield, and new guitarist Jamie Pitman, New York Guns spent their short hiatus improving their skills to prepare for a fresh start.

Danny Buglass did not return, instead joining the rock band The Clamorous. Antti Mustalahti was phoned several times to see if he had any interest in returning, however he did not answer his phone for a week. The police later found him dead in his apartment. They concluded that he had poisoned himself to commit suicide. The entire former lineup of the band attended the funeral, where the rhythm guitarist was buried with his favorite guitar and a bottle of bourbon.

Reformation

The beginning of their first tour with their new lineup turned out to be a disaster. Bass guitarist and new lead vocalist Andrew Watkins was nowhere to be found for their Montreal show after a dreadful personal performance in New York. Jamie contracted a bad case of the flu and was unable to join the band as the doctors had him hospitalized for 24 hours. Archie desperately searched for a replacement singer to finish the tour with, if at all possible. He contacted former member Danny Buglass to see if he was interested in a reunion. Homesick and discontent, Danny Buglass ecstatically agreed to permanently return to the band.

''Self-titled'' album (Year 49 - Present)

New York Guns entered the studio at the beginning of year 47 to finish writing and record the follow up album to An Offer We Can't Refuse. The band parted ways with drummer Robert Banfield due to the fact he was losing interest with the band. He was replaced with drummer Santiago Pavia. The band embarked on a world tour, with their new album slated to be released shortly after.<br>

The band released their self titled album on 5/18/2010. Critics reviewed it as their best work to date, and was warmly received by fans.
