History
Elberet was one of the most prolific Jazz bands in the history of Jazz, and one of the most well-known solo acts of the popoverse. For the time of the almost 19 years of existence of the band, Varvara Schubine was its only member, and therefore ceased to exist when Varvara tragically died on day 10 of year 39.
Elberet is the band which spent most days (at least 247 days or 4 years and 23 days) ranked as #1 Jazz band (see History of Jazz), a feat that is even more astonishing since Elberet was active during a time, when Jazz at the top level was one of the most competitive genres, with up to three jazz bands in the Who is winning-list at the same time.
It should also be noted that Elberet was one of the richest bands of it's time, leaving 170 687 715 US$ after disbanding (still #17 piggy banker at this very moment, 40/55, 2009-02-16).
Achievements
- Performed at Popomundo Festival VI and did incredible. Finished #13, best solo act.
- Won a bet to enter the Who is winning-list as a solo act within 6 years.
- Artist to be ranked #1 Jazz band for the longest time at (probably more than) 4 years and 23 days.
