Dire Wolf is an oldskool Heavy Metal band formed several years ago. Today they are one of the biggest heavy metal bands to walk this planet. Founded by Derrick Watson, it took them years to get where they are now. Currently they are participating in the Metal Tour 3, after successfully playing in the first and second one. Afterwards they will be touring the world, together with Underoath.
Dire Wolf, Diamond Head in the early days, started as the solo band, founded by Derrick Watson. He quickly realised he wouldn't make it alone, so he went to search for some true Heavy Metal musicians. First to join was Hank Evans, who was looking for a new band after his previous band, Bad Zeppelin, splitted. Maikel Meulenbroek was second to join this soon to be world famous band. The line-up was completed by Terri DeJean, an unfamous face for the crowd, but a brilliant songwriter.
Their first real tour was a big success, and Diamond Head started rising in the rankings. Together with the fame, came some problems for the members. Maikel Meulenbroek, who had a history of drugs and alcohol, got addicted to XTC. The others had no other choice than to kick him out of the band, into rehab. Maikel was soon replaced, and Paz Pham and Sherman Ivey joined Dire Wolf, top 10 by then. Still the new line-up wasn't complete, until Emilio Sanguesa Madrid, an ex-member of the worldfamous electronica band Bio Hazard, joined. Everything is in place now for Dire Wolf to reach the absolute top.
