Billy No Talent

Formed on day 17 of year 16 by band leader Frank Cook. A quite sucessful Punk Rock band who have struggled to keep a stable lineup with only Frank Cook and Gertjan Vossen being solid fixtures. Since forming they worked steadily towards becoming a top 10 band in their genre, they managed this and have been occupying the space for a number of years. More recently they have firmly cemented themselves as the 3rd Punk band in the world behind Kong and Psychedelic Pudding Punks. Notably they participated in the Punk World Tour of year 18 and the 2nd Punk World Tour titled the Punk Rampage Tour, of year 23. They are also one of the headlining acts on the forthcoming Tour of Oblivion and have qualified for the Popomundo Festival V.

Consists of: Frank Cook, Gertjan Vossen, Brent Palma and Paul Coslett.

Midway through this year Frank Cook formed Billy No Talent in London, England. After placing adverts in the local edition of It's Pop, Cook was joined by Gertjan Vossen. These two have formed the core of the band ever since. For a long while the band struggled to find a line-up that functioned as a unit.

“The year of BNT” the press wrote. For all but one week of this year BNT ruled the world. Many of their achievements are still unsurpassed to this day (Day 49 Popoyear 29). No other band occupied the #1 spot on the Who's Winning Chart from Christmas Popoyear 27 to Christmas Popoyear 28.

Mid-year single - The Anger Inside Me One of only three single to have surpassed 4m sales it has so far amassed 4,313,396 copies worldwide.

Christmas single - None

After the amazing highs of the previous year BNT fell on relatively hard times, a mis-judged attempt to win Popomundo Festival VI ended with there being no Christmas single the preceding year.
