It's Pop

It's Pop magazine was created to hold the latest news and thoughts about the Popomundo universe as seen by the players themselves. All published articles reward the author with a small paycheck as a token of our appreciation.

Submitting your work to the magazine

To submit your work to the magazine simply click on Submissions in the magazine menu and type away! The magazine is released every week on Wednesdays. If you hope to get your stuff published for the next edition you should have it submitted at least a couple of days in advance. The editors have the final say about publishing your piece as an Article, Interview or Letter. Most editors prefer that you submit before Sunday evening so they have enough time to go over all articles.

Check the Submissions page regularly. The editing staff will sometimes leave a comment for you, asking for changes and revisions before publishing your submission. Please read the editor's advice and consider making the requested changes to the piece. You can only have five submissions in draft at any time, so make sure to work on the pieces the editors ask you to change so they can be published, making room for more submissions.

Articles submitted to the magazine shouldn't be shorter than at least a couple of paragraphs. If you have simple press releases or tidbits of shorter information that you wish to share with the other players, please use the forum.

Basic Guidelines

It's Pop won't publish everything it receives. The editing staff is looking for creative stories, interviews and letters that give everyone a glimpse into everday life in Popomundo. The possibilities are endless, but there are some things that It's Pop is not looking for:

Things to Remember

All submissions to the magazine should be about the Popomundo game world. Submissions discussing things not related to the game in any way will not be published - this includes articles about real world musical artists. All submissions should be written in the spirit of role playing.

The editors reserve the right to make changes, corrections and any other revisions to your work they believe are necessary before your submission is ready to be published.

Whether writing or drawing something for It's Pop, please remember that your work must not break the rules found in the Rules of Conduct or the Content Agreement. The It's Pop staff will also consider these rules when reviewing your submission and may reject anything that appears to break them.

Do's and Dont's

One of the best things you can do before you submit anything to It's Pop would be to read the magazine regularly to become familiar with the sorts of articles that are being published. Understanding what the editors are looking for will go a long way towards the creation of quality submissions.
