The title of the album was confirmed on Vanessa's official site, confirming the title of the album was **P l a y**. The tracklist was confirmed on Vanessa's blog on September 14, 2007.

The album had decent sales, though it did not reach the success of her last album [[albums:Get Down!!]], that she released with ex-group member [[people:Christopher Bevan]].
